I don’t bake much anymore.
I didn’t bake before I opened a bakery and won Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.
And I don’t bake after.
It’s as though that whole baking thing was a phase. Except it also became my identity.
Anyway this email isn’t meant to be so philosophical.
I really just want to tell you that I don’t bake anymore but I’m coming out of my baking retirement for ONE day. And ONE day only. Unless it’s fun. Then I might do it once more.
I’ll be teaching a baking class at NY Kitchen (former NY Wine and Culinary Center) on November 14th from 2pm - 4:30pm.
If you always wanted to bake with me, here’s your chance!
Or (more likely) if you always wanted to learn how to bake delicious award-winning cupcakes that look like turkey legs and mashed potatoes to impress your family at Thanksgiving, here’s your chance!
Th class will entail 2.5 hours of baking tutorial with a NY Kitchen instructor along with me by your side.
You’ll be taking home two dozen delicious (if you follow directions) cupcakes in two different flavors:
One dozen Chocolate cupcakes with Peanut Butter frosting
One dozen Sweet Potato cupcakes with Maple frosting
You will learn how to draw with melted chocolate! This part of baking I do actually miss.
And if I am a decent instructor (jury is out) and do my job correctly, your cupcakes will look like the ones above.
Regardless, you will have fun! We will have fun together.
Also.. there’s a wine tasting room right across the hall. Wine is welcome in the class. Wine makes baking even more fun.
There are only 9 tickets remaining so don’t delay.
I hope to see you on Sunday November 14th!
Till Next Time,
Heather
